Are you an experienced Track professional with an interest in stepping into a management role, focusing on Track Maintenance?

This award-winning operator is looking for a Track & Asset Manager to be a key contributor in their small, close-knit team as they continue its desire to offer the most reliable urban public transport system in the UK. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will provide technical leadership and management of the maintenance of all track and points assets.

• As the Track Manager, you will be responsible for all maintenance, performance and renewals of all assets in asset groups such as Points Machines, Points Heating and Track.
• Preparation of briefs, scope of works, completion of technical tasks, and liaison with stakeholders and contractors.
• Carry out site inspections and track assessments as required and undertake failure and fault analysis; develop preventative solutions to reduce and mitigate failures.
• Contribute to the review of track maintenance strategies and life-cycle cost models; develop and manage all track maintenance activities as determined within the annual maintenance plan.

• Experienced Track Engineer with a keen understanding of coordinating the production of detailed records of inspection, maintenance and asset modification, including details of inadequacies and shortfalls requiring remedial action.
• Experience planning large maintenance jobs (e.g. tamping, grinding) and track renewals (S&C, rails, point machines and controllers) including RAMS, plans and other required paperwork.

• 40 hours a week on a shift rotation
