£38,000 - £48,000

A well-established transport planning and engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Transport Planner to join its Midlands team, based from offices in either Leicester or Nottingham. The role sits within an experienced and collaborative transport planning group supporting a wide range of development projects for private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing Transport Statements, Transport Assessments and Travel Plans for planning submissions
Advising on highway and transport-related planning matters, including access strategies and feasibility studies
Producing preliminary horizontal designs for site access junctions and highway improvement works for highway authority approval
Delivering work to a high technical standard within agreed timescales
Working independently while supporting junior team members when required
Building strong working relationships with clients, design teams and highway authorities

Experience & Skills

Proven experience in transport planning
Competence using industry software such as TRICS and Junctions

Experience with Lin Sig, GIS, AutoCAD, Auto Track, PDS Sign/Line or similar software is advantageous
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong technical, organisational and communication skills
