Position: Energy Assessor (Graduate or Experienced)

Role Overview

As an Energy Assessor, you will play a key role in evaluating building energy performance and ensuring compliance with UK regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting energy assessments for new and existing buildings (Part L, EPC, SBEM, SAP).
  • Preparing compliance documentation and energy performance certificates.
  • Advising design teams and clients on energy efficiency strategies.
  • Using industry-standard software (IES VE, Design Builder, Elmhurst) for building performance modeling.
  • Staying up to date with building regulations and sustainability best practices.
Qualifications

Degree in Building Services Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Energy Management, or a related discipline.

  • Experienced candidates should have proven knowledge of energy assessment and compliance processes.
  • Graduates with relevant academic background and willingness to learn will be considered.
  • Familiarity with SBEM/SAP calculations and energy modeling software.
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and energy efficiency standards.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Accreditation as a Non-Domestic or Domestic Energy Assessor (or willingness to achieve accreditation).
  • Knowledge of BREEAM, LEED, or other sustainability frameworks.
