Role OverviewAs an Energy Assessor, you will play a key role in evaluating building energy performance and ensuring compliance with UK regulations.
Responsibilities- Conducting energy assessments for new and existing buildings (Part L, EPC, SBEM, SAP).
- Preparing compliance documentation and energy performance certificates.
- Advising design teams and clients on energy efficiency strategies.
- Using industry-standard software (IES VE, Design Builder, Elmhurst) for building performance modeling.
- Staying up to date with building regulations and sustainability best practices.
Degree in Building Services Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Energy Management, or a related discipline.
- Experienced candidates should have proven knowledge of energy assessment and compliance processes.
- Graduates with relevant academic background and willingness to learn will be considered.
- Familiarity with SBEM/SAP calculations and energy modeling software.
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and energy efficiency standards.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Accreditation as a Non-Domestic or Domestic Energy Assessor (or willingness to achieve accreditation).
- Knowledge of BREEAM, LEED, or other sustainability frameworks.
