We are a specialist design, installation, testing and maintenance contractor specialising in electrical earthing, lightning protection, height safety and EV charging installation. Operating nationally, we provide top quality safety‑critical services for the protection of people, buildings and infrastructure.

We are seeking an exceptional Electrical Design Engineer to join our office‑based team in Nottingham.

• Management of Earthing system design and analysis using various software suites.
• Ensure design packages are completed on time, and meet cost, safety and environmental standards in accordance with client and industry specifications.
• Interface with external engineering consultants to delegate work packages that support in‑house activities.
• Liaise with DNOs to ensure compliance of our designs.
• Be accountable for the quality of all design deliverables and technical delivery of least whole‑life cost solutions.

• Experience with AutoCAD (additional advantage).
• Knowledge of power system modelling – transformers, transmission and distribution lines, detection and isolation devices, fault current analysis (additional factor).
• Programming skills relevant to power system analysis (beneficial).
• Ability to learn and apply complex power system concepts promptly.
• Passion for Electrical Design Engineering in the Power Earthing Engineering environment with practical experience in design solution development and implementation.
• Holding appropriate engineering qualifications – BEng / MEng in Electrical, Civil or Process Engineering (desirable).
• Earthing system analysis using CDEGS.
• Commercial awareness with influencing and negotiating skills, and an aptitude to develop relationships with clients and end users quickly and effectively.
• Proactive ‘can‑do’ attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Full driving licence required; there will be an element of working away with the role as and when required.
