Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? An established and fast-growing building services consultancy in Nottingham is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding team.

• Lead electrical design from concept through to detailed stages and construction support
• Produce and review calculations, reports, specifications, drawings, and BIM models
• Carry out electrical load assessments, distribution design, lighting, fire alarm, data, and security system layouts
• Oversee junior engineers and contribute to their technical development
• Attend design meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
• Conduct site inspections, surveys, and commissioning support when required
• Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practice guidance

Contribute to sustainable, low-energy electrical design solutions

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in an electrical design role within the building services sector
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution, lighting design, containment, LV systems, and life-safety systems
• Experience using software such as Amtech, Dialux / Relux, AutoCAD, and Revit
• Good knowledge of UK building regulations, British Standards, and industry design guides
• Ability to lead projects independently and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with clients and stakeholders
