OverviewWe're working with a high-profile, innovation-led organisation based in Nottingham that is actively transforming its technology platform using Microsoft Azure, Dev Ops, and cloud-native architecture.
This is a highly project-focused role suited to an Azure Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or Azure Dev Ops Engineer who wants to work on large-scale cloud migration, platform engineering, and modernisation initiatives rather than traditional support.
The environment is cloud-first, automation-driven, and engineering-led - with a strong emphasis on scalability, security, reliability, and cost optimisation.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain Azure cloud platforms and landing zones
- Deliver Azure infrastructure projects including migrations, modernisation, and new platform builds
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) for repeatable deployments
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops and Git Hub Actions
- Engineer highly available, secure, and resilient cloud environments
- Implement Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, VPN, Express Route) and identity (Entra / Azure AD, RBAC)
- Collaborate with Dev Ops, Platform, Security, and Software Engineering teams
- Improve platform monitoring, logging, cost optimisation (Fin Ops), and governance
- Create platform standards, reference architectures, and documentation
- Azure Platform Engineering / Cloud Engineering / Azure Dev Ops
- Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
- Infrastructure as Code:
Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates - CI/CD Pipelines:
Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions - Azure Networking: VNets, Subnets, NSGs, VPN, Express Route
- Azure Identity & Security:
Entra (Azure AD), RBAC, Key Vault - Monitoring:
Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights - Cost Management / Fin Ops / Azure Cost Management
- Automation, scripting (Power Shell, Bash, Python)
- Containers: AKS, Docker, Kubernetes
- Git Ops, Dev Sec Ops , or SRE experience
- Multi-subscription / enterprise scale Azure environments
- Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400)
- £60k-£75k salary aligned with the Nottingham cloud market
