Working Hours:

33.75 Term Time Only

We are looking for a Learning Mentor to work alongside our Families Officer in delivering support to children and families across school. We need someone who can build relationships with all stakeholders, listen to their voice in a non-judgemental way, and support them with their emotional wellbeing, giving them strategies to help them overcome barriers to learning. You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of emotional wellbeing to successful learners and be able to empathise with the children, treating them with respect and compassion whilst giving them strategies to be successful in the classroom.

You should have an understanding of and an interest in how to support children and develop their wellbeing, especially those impacted by ACEs in their lives, and sound knowledge of effective behaviour support and management strategies. You must also have a clear understanding of the importance of child protection and safeguarding and what this means in practice in a school environment.
