Job Title
Assistant Principal – Further Education (Multi‑Disciplinary Support), Portland College, Nottingham
Responsibilities- Ensure the learning environment is fit for purpose, providing a safe and conducive space.
- Manage staff and support the development of comprehensive training packages, ensuring highly skilled practitioners across the College.
- Manage people and physical resources efficiently.
- Undertake line‑management responsibilities for approximately ten staff members.
- Work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (flexibility may be discussed at interview).
- Operate primarily from the main campus in Mansfield, with occasional travel to other Nottingham sites.
- Carry out full enhanced with barred lists DBS checks as part of pre‑employment checks.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrable experience supporting individual learners to realise their full potential.
- Proven experience managing and leading teams effectively.
- Strong track record of working with external agencies, including commissioners, clinicians, social workers, and parent/carers.
- Extensive knowledge and experience working with disabled people, from educational, clinical or community/social care settings.

Qualified safeguarding professional. - Will undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide proof of right to work in the UK.
