Are you passionate about equipping individuals with essential life skills in English and Maths?
TP-Tutors is a leading agency providing high-quality, personalised Functional Skills tutoring across Nottinghamshire. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Functional Skills Tutor (FQT required) to support learners in Nottinghamshire.
This role is available on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, delivering 1:1 tuition to help learners build confidence and achieve recognised qualifications.
What you'll be doing:Deliver engaging and effective 1-to-1 Functional Skills tuition in English and Maths
Support learners of varying ages and abilities working towards accredited qualifications
Plan and implement tailored lessons to meet individual learning needs
Create a supportive environment that builds confidence and independence
Track progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
Functional Skills qualification (FQT) – required
Proven experience teaching or tutoring Functional Skills English and Maths
Strong understanding of Functional Skills curriculum and assessment methods
Excellent communication and motivational skills
Ability to adapt teaching approaches for diverse learners
A current Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one and subscribe to the Update Service)
Competitive pay: £25–£30 per hour (depending on experience)
Consistent work on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
Flexible daytime hours (typically between 8:30am–3:30pm)
Local placements in the NG3 area

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
