We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Tutor to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition to students across Nottinghamshire (NG12 3JG
). This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people’s academic progress, confidence, and overall development during their secondary education.
As a Secondary Tutor, you will:
Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition across core secondary subjects (e.g. Maths, English, Science or Humanities)
Plan and deliver engaging, structured sessions tailored to individual learning needs
Support students in closing learning gaps and preparing for GCSEs where appropriate
Build confidence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours
Adapt teaching strategies to suit a range of abilities and learning styles
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Previous experience teaching or tutoring at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge relevant to KS3 and/or KS4
The ability to plan and deliver engaging, effective sessions
Excellent communication skills and a patient, supportive approach
A genuine commitment to helping young people reach their full potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
