SEN Nursery Support Worker - Lutterworth

Location: Lutterworth

Position: SEN Nursery Support Worker

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Salary: 95 - 105 per day

Start Date: ASAP

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual committed to supporting children with special educational needs in a nurturing and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to children with diverse and complex needs, enabling them to engage fully with the curriculum and reach their potential.
  • Assist in group-based activities to encourage social development and collaboration amongst the children.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and SEN professionals to implement individualised learning and care plans.
  • Foster independence, self-confidence, and positive behaviour in the children, while maintaining a supportive and structured environment.
  • Adapt to the varied and changing needs of the children, employing a flexible approach to support them effectively.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting.
  • A sound understanding of the challenges faced by children with additional needs and a compassionate, patient approach to supporting their development.
  • Ability to commit to working 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, during the school's operating hours.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents.
  • A professional attitude, with a focus on providing high-quality support and fostering a positive learning environment.
