Smile Education are proud to be working in partnership with Endeavour Multi Academy Trust to recruit several Level 3 Teaching Assistants for one of their Secondary Special Schools based in Tamworth
.

About the SchoolThe school is a generic special school for pupils aged 11–19 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). It provides a nurturing and structured environment where students with a range of additional needs are supported to develop independence, confidence and essential life skills.

The Role- Support students of secondary age (11–19)
- Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Confidently support students with a range of additional needs
- Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
- Promote independence, resilience and positive engagement
- Get fully involved in school life and enrichment activities
- Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated staff team
- Be a positive role model with a proactive, “can-do” attitude
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Recent UK school‑based experience
- Experience supporting pupils with additional needs
Confidence working with secondary‑aged students - Ability to commit full‑time on a long‑term basis
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Ability to provide references covering the last 2 years
- Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
