Graduate Teaching Assistant

Are you a recent English, Maths or Science graduate looking to gain classroom experience?

We are recruiting ambitious and motivated graduates to work as Graduate Teaching Assistants in supportive secondary schools based in either Bolton, Salford or Bury. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers looking to gain hands‑on experience before starting teacher training.

• Support pupils across KS3 and KS4 in English, Maths or Science
• Deliver 1:1 and small group intervention sessions
• Assist with lesson preparation and classroom activities
• Help raise attainment and close learning gaps
• Support pupils preparing for GCSE examinations
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement

• Hold a degree in English, Maths, Science or a related subject
• Be considering a future career in teaching
• Have the ability to commute to either Salford, Bury or Bolton
• Have strong subject knowledge
• Be confident, proactive and enthusiastic
• Demonstrate good communication and behaviour management skills
• Have an understanding of safeguarding (training can be provided)
