Job Title: Unqualified Teaching Assistant – SEN Schools (Middlesbrough & Darlington)
Location: Middlesbrough & Darlington
Weekly Pay: £507.00 – £550.00
Working hours: Monday – Friday 08:30 – 3:30pm

Job Description:

Milk Education are recruiting a caring, resilient and enthusiastic Unqualified Teaching Assistant to work across a range of SEN Schools in the Middlesbrough and Darlington areas.

You will be supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties, within inclusive and nurturing school environments. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands‑on experience in SEN education and make a meaningful difference to pupils’ daily lives.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils with additional needs on a one-to-one and small group basis
• Promoting positive behaviour, inclusion and emotional regulation
• Assisting pupils with learning, communication and social development
• Supporting personal care needs where required
• Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement individual education and support plans

Essential Requirements:

• A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs
• Patience, empathy and a positive attitude
• Previous experience working with children or vulnerable individuals (desirable but not essential)
• Willingness to learn and follow guidance from teachers and SEN professionals
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
