Overview

Are you passionate about education and helping students reach their full potential? Randstad Tuition Services is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated tutors to join our team in Nottingham.

Primary and Secondary level Tutors

Location:

Nottingham

Hours:

flexible part-time (up to 30 hours per week)
Salary: £25 - £30 per hour depending on experience

About the role

We are collaborating with the local authority and schools in Nottingham who are seeking additional tutoring for their students in Maths, English, and Science. We welcome motivated individuals who work with children in the area and are passionate about entering the field of education. An enhanced DBS on the update service is preferred or individuals willing to obtain one.

Subjects

Primary or Secondary:
Maths, English, Science.

Responsibilities
  • Develop personalised lesson plans based on each student’s learning style
  • Assess student progress, identify areas for improvement, and record achievement levels using our internal reporting system
  • Deliver engaging sessions that cater to a variety of learning styles
  • Achieve measurable outcomes from each session to assess impact
  • Collaborate with educational and care stakeholders to ensure student support
  • Adhere to safeguarding guidelines (KCSIE)
Qualifications and experience
  • Previous experience tutoring one-to-one or small groups needing additional educational or pastoral support
  • Ability to accept supervision and constructive feedback gracefully
  • Experience working in inclusion units, special settings, or alternative provisions
  • Familiarity with supporting students with SEN, undiagnosed SEN, disengaged young people, or looked-after children
Essential qualities
  • Inspirational, effective, and adaptable communication skills
  • Proficiency in IT, access to a laptop/computer, and audio-visual capabilities
  • Reliable broadband and internet connection
  • Ability to cultivate meaningful relationships and motivate students
