We are looking for a teacher who:- Is enthusiastic with a passion for teaching and learning and is a highly-skilled practitioner with a proven record of enabling pupils to achieve excellent outcomes
- Has high expectations and is committed to making a difference to children’s lives
- Cares deeply about children and their personal development whilst still driving forward pupil progress and achievement
- Accepts their professional obligation to continually improve their practice and join a culture of ‘we are all learners’
- Can build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with staff, parents and carers, children, governors and the local and wider community
- A welcoming community and the support of a highly motivated, professional and friendly staff team
- A commitment to forward-thinking, research-informed approaches to teaching and learning
- High-quality and varied professional development opportunities through collaboration with partner schools in the Nottingham Schools Trust (NST)

Safeguarding StatementCarrington is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers are therefore expected to behave in such a way that supports this commitment. Appointment will be subject to the following pre-employment checks: health, identity, relevant work qualifications, right to work in the UK, professional registration (for qualified teaching staff), Disclosure and Barring service (DBS) check, references and a staff suitability declaration.
A start date for successful applicants will not be confirmed until clearance from all the above checks has been obtained. Please note that the DBS check will reveal all convictions, reprimands, cautions and bind overs even if considered spent within the Rehabilitation of Offences Act. As part of the pre-check, school will also conduct online searches including social media presence.
