Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly qualified and experienced College Lecturer in English to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in English literature, composition, and language. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching, a deep understanding of the subject matter, and a commitment to student success.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver lectures, tutorials, and seminars in English literature, composition, and language
- Develop course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assignments
- Evaluate and grade students' assignments, papers, and exams
- Provide feedback and support to students to enhance their learning experience
- Stay updated with current trends and developments in the field of English literature and language
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
- Engage in academic research and publish scholarly articles in reputable journals
- Mentor and advise students on academic and career-related matters
- Collaborate with colleagues and actively participate in professional development activities
- Master's degree in English literature, language, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a college or university setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of English literature, composition, and language
- Experience in curriculum development and course design
- Proficient in using technology in teaching and learning
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse and multicultural environment
- Passion for teaching and commitment to student success
- Experience in academic research and publishing
