Communications Support Worker

Overview

About the Role We are working in partnership with Nottingham College to recruit a Communication Support Worker (CSW) to support Deaf and hearing-impaired learners within a further education setting. The successful candidate will provide in-class and on-campus communication support using British Sign Language (BSL), enabling learners to fully access their education.

• Provide communication support to learners using British Sign Language (BSL)
• Support learners during lessons, tutorials and college activities
• Facilitate clear communication between learners, teaching staff and peers
• Promote inclusion, independence and equal access to learning
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times

• BSL qualification at Level 2 (minimum)
• Experience supporting Deaf or hearing-impaired learners (education setting preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual and committed to supporting learner progress

• Monday: AM & PM
• Tuesday: AM & PM
• Wednesday: AM (2 sessions)
• Thursday: AM & PM
