Position: Senior Library Adviser (Part-Time, Maternity Cover)

Location: Jubilee Campus

Salary: £29,740 to £36,446 per annum pro‑rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Join our Customer Services Team in University of Nottingham Libraries.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team – train and support staff and work to improve and develop services.
  • Role‑model positive behaviour and help embed excellence.
  • Work independently at times, prioritise and manage workload, and collaborate with colleagues across all areas of University of Nottingham Libraries.
  • Occasionally work at other libraries across Nottingham campuses to deliver a full service.
  • Operate an evacuation chair down a staircase to respond to emergencies; be available for one public holiday/University Closure Day per year.
Hours
  • 30hrs per week. Monday 1‑7pm (0.5hr unpaid break)
  • Tuesday 10am‑7pm (1hr unpaid break)
  • Wednesday 1‑7pm (0.5hr unpaid break)
  • Thursday 1‑7pm (0.5hr unpaid break)
  • Friday 1‑7pm (0.5hr unpaid break)

This fixed‑term maternity cover post is up to 30th October 2026.
