About the School

Are you a patient, enthusiastic, and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant looking to support pupils during a crucial stage of their education?

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tameside, supporting pupils across Key Stage 2. The school promotes a positive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Some pupils may have additional learning needs or SEN, offering you the opportunity to make a meaningful difference through tailored support.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils in lessons on a one-to-one or small-group basis.
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
  • Provide targeted support for pupils with SEN or additional learning needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and confidence.
  • Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support pupils' academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting children in a primary school or childcare setting is desirable.
  • Understanding of Key Stage 2 learning and curriculum expectations.
  • Patient, proactive, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing.
Eligibility
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply.
  • Provide two professional, child-related references covering the last two years.
