Job Summary
A Vacancy at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. We are seeking to appoint 2 full time Locum Consultant Body Radiologists with an interest in Uro Gynae Imaging at Nottingham University Hospitals to ensure continuity of the service to support the local and regional demand for Uro Gynae imaging.
The successful applicant will share responsibility with other colleagues for the provision of all aspects of Body and Uro Gynae imaging in our Trust with possible future expansion to the Trusts within the regional network.
To provide, along with Consultant colleagues, a comprehensive elective and emergency on‑call service related to Uroradiology and acute cross cover to general radiology service. Subject to individual candidate interest and capacity, involvement in Gynae MDT and reporting can be arranged. There will be an opportunity to be involved in the Skin MDT if interested.
The posts include sessions for reporting time for MRI and CT, performing ultrasound and undertaking fluoroscopy guided procedures and participation in multidisciplinary meetings.
The successful candidate will be expected to become an effective member of the team of Body/Uroradiologists, to be responsible for the care of patients in their charge and to participate in teaching, research, audit and continuing professional development.
Responsibilities- Provision of all aspects of Body and Uro Gynae imaging in the Trust with potential future expansion.
- Comprehensive elective and emergency on‑call service in Uroradiology and acute cross‑cover to general radiology.
- Involvement in Gynae MDT and reporting as appropriate.
- Opportunity to join Skin MDT if interested.
- Reporting for MRI and CT, performing ultrasound, and undertaking fluoroscopy‑guided procedures.
- Participation in multidisciplinary meetings.
- Responsibility for the care of patients in charge and participation in teaching, research, audit and CPD.
Candidates must hold the Full Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists or an equivalent qualification and must either be on the Specialist Register, or in possession of a CCT/CESR at the time of taking up the appointment. However the department is delighted to entertain expressions of interest from individuals who will be within 6 months of attaining CCT or aiming to submit CESR at 12 months time frame.
CESR support is available.
The post will be primarily located at the City campus although the successful applicant will be required to provide sessions at the sites where we provide an Uroradiology service. A successful applicant would be required to be part of a dedicated Diagnostic Body on‑call rota with a current frequency of 1:10.
