Overview
Applicants are invited for a substantive Consultant with a responsibility in Infectious Disease, OPAT and Microbiology at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The post encompasses both Queens Medical Centre and the City Campus of Nottingham University Hospital.
Responsibilities- Laboratory duties and results authorisation and interpretation.
- Clinical and antibiotic advice.
- Patient consults and ward rounds.
- Multidisciplinary team participation (MDTs).
- Antimicrobial stewardship.
- Infection prevention and control.
- Clinical governance.
- Teaching and training.
- Research.
- Management of emergency and elective patients admitted under care.
- Accreditation in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology on the GMC specialist register.
- Within 6 months of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) date on interview day.
