TPS Nottingham is looking for the next generation of Parts Sales Executives to join their sites across the UK through the Volkswagen Group apprenticeship programme. If you have a passion for customer service or a desire to build a career within sales, this apprentice position could be for you.
Working alongside a team of experienced sales professionals, you will gain an understanding of what it takes to be successful in parts sales, expert product knowledge, and how to provide excellent customer service. You will also develop life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and communication while working both behind the scenes and at the front desk.
The role requires you to be professional and approachable so you can accurately assess customer requirements, advise them on parts required, and process orders efficiently in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities- Inbound and outbound call handling.
- Taking cash and credit card transactions.
- Delivering excellent customer service.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good IT skills.
- Using product knowledge to advise customers.
- Maintaining accurate paperwork for centre and customer records.
- Efficient processing of customer orders.
- Contributing to the delivery of sales targets.
Training provided – Training will be delivered using a combination of virtual classroom remote learning and face‑to‑face block release weeks at our state‑of‑the‑art training centre. Successful applicants must be prepared to travel to the Volkswagen Group National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes to complete their apprenticeship training. All training‑related costs, including travel, accommodation, and meals, are fully covered.
In the workplace, a personal, dedicated mentor will support your continued learning as you apply the skills and knowledge gained during remote sessions and at the National Learning Centre. Apprentices also have the opportunity to attend Outward Bound, a personal development week to build resilience, confidence, and teamwork.
Qualifications Received- Level 2 Retailer Standard
- Brand‑specific certifications
Scotland / Wales / Northern Ireland:
Level 2 / Level 5 Customer Service Apprenticeship and brand‑specific certifications.
- GCSE grades 9–3 (A–D) or equivalent in English, Maths and one other subject.
- In Scotland: predicted Scottish National 5 grades A–D (or higher) in English, Maths and either a science or technical subject.
Equivalent grades include BTEC first diplomas and certificates, OCR Nationals, Key Skills Level 2, NVQs, Essential Skills (Wales), Functional Skills Level 2, and Core Skills (Scotland).
