Hours:
Tuesday and Thursday, 08:30 – 17:30 (with occasional overtime to attend events, launches, or interviews)
Location:
Bingham
We’re looking for a proactive and creative Junior Journalist to join our growing team. This is a unique hybrid role where you will spend approximately 50% of your time producing journalistic content and 50% supporting business development initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesJournalism & Content Creation (50%)
- Research, write and edit news stories, features and interviews for both online and print platforms.
- Assist in covering events, press briefings, and launches when required.
- Produce clear, accurate and engaging content to tight deadlines.
- Create and schedule posts across our social media channels to drive audience engagement.
- Support the editorial team with story development, fact-checking, and proofreading.
Business Development (50%)
- Assist with identifying and developing opportunities for partnerships and collaborations.
- Support outreach to potential advertisers, sponsors, and partners.
- Contribute to marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- Help prepare pitches, presentations, and proposals to support business growth.
- Represent the organisation professionally at events, exhibitions, and meetings.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills with an excellent grasp of English grammar.
- Previous experience creating content for social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, X, Linked In, Facebook, Tik Tok).
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships with external stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
- A flexible and enthusiastic approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
- A journalism, communications, media, or related qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Previous experience in a newsroom, media, or content‑focused environment is a plus.
- Hands‑on experience in both journalism and business development.
