About The Role

Games Workshop has a fantastic opportunity for a Photographer to join our studio team where you will get to work on Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 print products, shooting everything from codexes to packaging.

Every day is different at Games Workshop, and you’ll need to be adaptable to change. Our products are loved the world over, and you’ll work as part of a team to make sure every product hits the high standard our customers rightly expect. You’ll deliver miniatures photography focusing specifically on the Warhammer 40,000 IP. Your day‑to‑day work will range from composing huge set piece photographs, painstakingly arranging miniatures and scenic elements to create photos that invoke our unique worlds, to creating high‑resolution shots on white of our miniatures for use on packaging and within books.

Highly creative, we’ll look to you to seek new and exciting ways of showcasing Citadel miniatures through photography, as well as taking on board feedback from the wider team. We have an in‑house style, but we’re always looking to improve, and you’ll have a real opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the products we create. You should also have an extensive working knowledge of the Warhammer 40,000 IP and the current range of Citadel miniatures.

We’re storytellers of the 40K universe, so we’re looking for someone who has endless ideas of stories to tell within that world.

Highly organised and thorough, our photographers work in a dedicated photography studio, using industry‑level equipment to create the best images possible. Each photographer has their own set up, with lights, a shooting table, and high‑end PC for editing. You’ll need a deep understanding of working within a studio environment, as well as a high level of proficiency in Photoshop, as you’ll be making all the required edits to your photographs.

A natural collaborator and experienced at working to deadlines, you’ll be responsible for owning your projects and carefully crafting each photograph from start to finish.

Benefits

33 days holiday per year (including public holidays), matching contributory pension scheme up to 7.5%, profit share bonus (subject to GW meeting profit targets) and option to join our Share Save scheme. Staff discount 25‑50% on products.

Location

This role is based full time in our UK Headquarters in Nottingham.
