Facade Estimator

Our client is a specialist contractor operating within the façade and architectural aluminium sector, delivering glazing and façade packages across commercial construction projects. Working closely with main contractors, consultants and developers, the business provides design, manufacture and installation services across a range of façade systems.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Facade Estimator to join their pre-construction team.

The role will involve reviewing tender enquiries, preparing accurate estimates and supporting the wider team through the tender process, ensuring submissions are technically compliant and commercially competitive.

The Role

• Managing and reviewing incoming tender enquiries

• Producing detailed take-offs from architectural drawings and specifications

• Preparing accurate cost estimates for façade and glazing packages

• Reviewing specifications with a focus on technical compliance and regulatory requirements

• Using estimating software to build up scopes of work and cost data

• Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain material pricing and technical information

• Preparing clear written tender submissions

• Attending internal handover meetings with design, production and contracts teams once projects are secured

Requirements

• Previous experience working in an estimating role within construction

• Ideally experience within façade systems, curtain walling or aluminium glazing

• Experience pricing projects typically £1M+ in value

• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications

• Comfortable managing multiple tenders in a busy pre-construction environment

• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams
