Our client is looking for an experienced Site Manager to join their existing construction team and take a leading role across a variety of schemes. Working alongside the senior management team, you'll be given the tools and support to run sites effectively and build a long‑term career with a business that values its people. This is an excellent construction manager job for someone who takes pride in high‑quality delivery and wants to be part of a growing contractor.

Responsibilities
  • Running all on‑site operations including subcontractor management, materials procurement and plant and equipment coordination
  • Managing the day‑to‑day running of the project, providing clear direction to site operatives regarding their responsibilities
  • Implementing and managing health and safety procedures in line with CDM 2015, ensuring full site compliance at all times
  • Maintaining site presentation and housekeeping to the correct standard throughout the construction programme
  • Producing accurate progress reports, updating them regularly and presenting findings to the senior project team
  • Attending client and project progress meetings, representing the contractor professionally and communicating clearly with all stakeholders
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a Site Manager role on behalf of a construction main contractor, ideally across commercial new build or public sector schemes
  • SC Clearance (current or the ability to pass the clearance process)
  • Strong people management and delegation skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a site team
  • Effective communication and listening skills across all levels of a project
  • Solid understanding of building regulations and local authority agreements
  • Previous experience within the commercial construction industry, with exposure to new build and/or refurbishment projects
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload across concurrent tasks and deadlines
  • SMSTS, CSCS Gold Card and First Aid certification

Candidates must be British nationals and either hold current SC Clearance or be confident they can obtain it.
