Assistant Estimator – Nottingham

Join a well‑established and respected contractor to strengthen the pre‑construction team with the appointment of an Assistant Estimator.

Leads a leading contractor delivering projects across commercial, education, leisure, care and retirement, student accommodation and high‑rise residential. Projects range from £5m to £50m, with recent awards of new projects starting in 2026.

• Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare estimates.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations.
• Work collaboratively with the design, planning, and delivery teams.
• Assist in the preparation of tenders, cost plans and budgets.

• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Conquest, Causeway, or similar).
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar estimating role.
• Excellent communication skills and negotiation ability.
• Proven track record of pricing building projects.

To qualify for the higher rate of pay you must demonstrate a track record as an Assistant Estimator delivering construction projects for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 building contractor ranging from £2m+.

• Basic salary of £35,000 – £45,000 (DOE)
