Assistant Estimator - are you looking to take the next step in your Estimating career? Our client is a well-established and respected contractor looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with the appointment of an Assistant Estimator.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Estimator join a leading contractor delivering projects across commercial, education, leisure, care and retirement, student accommodation and high rise residential with project values ranging from £5m - £50m.

Salary & Package:
- Basic salary of £35,000 - £45,000 (DOE)

Key Duties:

- Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare estimates
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
- Work collaboratively with the design, planning, and delivery teams
- Assist in the preparation of tenders, cost plans and budgets

Requirements:
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Conquest, Causeway, or similar)
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar estimating role
- Excellent communication skills and negotiation ability
- Proven track record of pricing building projects

To qualify for the higher rate of pay you must be able to demonstrate a track record as an Assistant Estimator delivering construction projects for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 building contractor ranging from £2m+.
