This position requires an individual with a demonstrable track record of providing practical, hands-on expertise to a wide range of heavy construction plant, and / or large construction machinery. The Role

Due to continued growth and a number of recent successful contract awards our client is now seeking to appoint a Fitter required to work on a wide variety of heavy construction plant, crawler cranes, drilling or piling rigs and various other machinery and equipment. You will be carrying out repairs, servicing and planned / reactive / preventative maintenance on a wide range of large construction machinery and heavy plant.

You will also be required to carry out the servicing, inspection and repair of a fleet of company owned plant and equipment that must be kept in a “fit for purpose” state at all times. You will be working on hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical systems, as such, a good understanding and practical experience in these areas is required. The position will also involve producing, keeping and maintaining reports, servicing records and other paperwork with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.

To carry out this role successfully you will also require a full UK driving licence.
