As Global Procurement Lead – Strategy, Solution & Innovation
, you will sit at the forefront of procurement transformation leading a high-performing team to design and deliver supplier and market-driven solutions that go far beyond traditional sourcing.
This is not a category management role. This is about innovation, influence, and enterprise-level problem solving.
The Opportunity:Global Procurement is on a journey to elevate its impact across the business, and this role sits within a newly enhanced Strategy & Solutions capability tasked with unlocking value through external innovation and market expertise.
You will lead a medium-to-large sized team responsible for:
- Translating complex business challenges into market-facing solutions.
- Leveraging suppliers and external partners to unlock new sources of value.
- Driving measurable impact beyond cost savings.
- Influencing senior stakeholders across a highly matrixed global environment.
- Building scalable frameworks, tools and solution approaches
With strong visibility across senior leadership, this role offers the chance to shape how procurement supports the organisation’s future growth and innovation agenda.
Key Responsibilities:- Leading a global solutions team to deliver a portfolio of high-value, market-driven initiatives.
- Identifying business problem statements and converting them into tangible solution opportunities.
- Designing and implementing innovative supplier-enabled models and frameworks.
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to co-create commercially robust solutions.
- Allocating resources and prioritising initiatives to maximise team impact.
- Driving external innovation through deep market and supplier insight.
- Embedding structured approaches to value realisation beyond traditional cost metrics.
- Advanced experience in procurement, supply chain, or consulting within complex global organisations.
- Demonstrated success delivering strategic procurement or supplier-led solutions
, not just sourcing execution. - Strong leadership experience within matrix environments.
- Proven ability to influence and engage senior business stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate ambiguity into structured solutions.
- Experience across multiple indirect or services categories is highly advantageous (e.g. External Workforce, Commercial, R&D, Professional Services)
- Degree educated &/or CIPS qualified / working towards.
- Highly strategic remit focused on value creation beyond savings.
