Employment Details

Working Hours: Full‑time, 37 hours per week

Worker Type: Hybrid worker

Salary: Starting salary £28,598 (level one) rising to £35,412 pro rata for part‑time

Location: Nottingham City Council, Loxley House

About the Role

We’re looking for two Audit & Risk Trainees who are curious, analytical and eager to learn to join the Audit & Risk Team.

In this hands‑on role you’ll support the delivery of high‑quality audit risk insurance and counter‑fraud services, helping to ensure integrity and accountability across the Council. You will also complete a Level 4 Apprenticeship in Data Analysis.

What You’ll Do
  • Support internal audits across a wide range of council services
  • Develop data analytics tools to spot trends, anomalies and potential risks
  • Assist with investigations into suspected fraud or error
  • Contribute to reports and recommendations that help shape better decision‑making
  • Support corporate risk management and insurance activities
  • Promote a culture of integrity, continuous improvement and innovation
  • Complete structured learning and apprenticeship training to develop your skills
