We are looking for a proactive, organised and people‑focused Operations Manager to support the smooth running of our School’s facilities, space and infrastructure. This is a varied coordination role at the heart of School operations, working closely with colleagues, Estates, and building users to ensure our environments remain safe, functional, and well‑utilised.
What You’ll DoIn this role, you will:
- Coordinate day‑to‑day facilities, space and building related activity across multiple School locations
- Act as an approachable and effective point of contact for Estates, contractors and School users
- Communicate clearly and proactively with staff and students, providing updates on works, changes and issues
- Maintain accurate statutory testing and compliance records, ensuring data is well organised and accessible
- Support space management and occupancy planning through good information gathering and user engagement
- Contribute to School and Faculty level committees, supporting process development and operational improvements
- Help manage Facilities budgets by monitoring spend, forecasting needs and preparing information for decision making
This is not a technical estates role — instead, it is about coordination, communication, organisation and problem‑solving
, ensuring the right people have the right information at the right time.
This role would suit someone who:
- Communicates confidently and clearly with a wide range of people
- Builds positive working relationships and represents the School professionally
- Is organised, motivated and enjoys managing multiple activities
- Works proactively, using initiative to spot issues and keep things moving
- Is confident using data in Excel, SharePoint and digital tools to maintain clear records
- Has experience supporting building, facilities or wider operational processes, with the ability to spot and improve inefficient ways of working
We welcome applicants looking to develop their operational career within a supportive and collaborative team.
This is a full‑time, permanent position.
This position is pivotal to the School’s operations, with on‑site presence needed throughout the week to maintain our buildings and systems and deliver a high‑quality environment.
