Medical Receptionist, Healthcare Administration, Office Administrator/ Coordinator
we are looking for part time receptionist who can work in a busy GP practice environment.
working shifts will be in-between 8am- 6.30pm practice working hours according to the reception rota.
Main duties of the job- Greet and welcome visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer, and direct incoming phone calls
- Manage appointment bookings and diaries
- Respond to emails and general enquiries
- Maintain reception area cleanliness and organisation
- Handle incoming and outgoing post
- Update and maintain records and databases
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry
We are a 4 Partner, 2 Salaried GP training Practice located in Hayes which has its own premises and a gated car park within easy reach of the A40 and M4 in West London. Our Practice is dynamic and forward thinking with a multidisciplinary team onsite. The Practice list size 10,600, has a Good CQC rating, uses EMIS and Docman and has a high QOF achievement.
Jobresponsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing appointment requests (in person, by phone, and online)
- Giving out test results as directed by clinicians
- Managing home visit requests
- Answering patient queries and providing general assistance
- Filing and maintaining medical records accurately
- Performing a range of other administrative and reception duties as required.
- GCSE - or Equivalent
- Essential Skills and Qualities:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and IT skills
- Confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Previous experience in a GP surgery or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
