Manager IT Data

Incumbent will oversee and lead Microsoft-centric technology environment focused on enterprise applications, shaping data strategy and driving analytics innovation using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and the broader Azure ecosystem. Partner with the business in developing technology-based solutions.

• Oversee the strategy, implementation, and support of core business applications built on or integrated with the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Lead and mentor a team of analysts, developers, and data professionals.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable Microsoft-based solutions.
• Manage licensing, vendor relationships, and application roadmaps.
• Ensure application reliability, security, and compliance.
• Proactively evaluate current and emerging technologies, application customizations and system enhancements for meeting organization’s business needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve applications, processes and procedures relative to business systems and technology solutions
• Own the enterprise data architecture with a focus on Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
• Lead adoption and governance of Microsoft Fabric.
• Oversee Power BI datasets, semantic models, dashboards, and reports.
• Establish best practices for data modeling, DAX, governance, and self-service analytics.
• Partner with business units to define KPIs and promote a data-driven culture.

• Design and maintain data integration workflows using Fabric Data Factory, Azure Data Factory, or Logic Apps.
• Troubleshoot complex application and data issues.

• Manage budgets for applications, data platforms, and Microsoft licensing.
• Create documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
• Ensure cybersecurity compliance.

• Responsible for providing direct reports with timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth;
• Developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.
• Incumbent also holds his direct reports accountable for performing the same functions and activities with their direct reports if applicable.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years managing enterprise applications or data platforms.
• 2-3 years managing people
• Prior experience with multi-location retail, convenience stores, quick service restaurants preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Team leadership – ability to communicate vision to team-members and keep focused on the end-goals
• Ability to elicit requirements from key stakeholders

Business acumen – Ability to understand the business and create/deliver solutions via technology

Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.

• Ability to prioritize and demonstrate excellent time management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and follow-through, and to deliver high-quality, accurate results/products.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure data platforms.
• Experience with Azure Synapse, Data Lake, SQL Database, or Purview preferred
• Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops and Git preferred
• Experience with Power Automate or Logic Apps preferred
• Project management or ITIL certification preferred
