Overview
Join us as a Case Manager Registered Nurse in Norwood, MA at our May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders. We are seeking a nurse to deliver top-tier healthcare services tailored to individuals with brain injuries and neurobehavioral disorders, collaborating with diverse teams to advocate for holistic wellness and growth.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with a dynamic team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), educators, and other healthcare professionals to craft personalized treatment plans for children with brain injuries and neurobehavioral disorders.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, reviewing clients’ medical histories and developmental needs to guide treatment planning.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions with precision and care, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
- Monitor students’ health and behavior during the school day and respond promptly to health concerns.
- Educate and support families to empower them to participate in their child’s care beyond the classroom.
- Build alliances with external healthcare providers (pediatricians, psychologists, and specialists) to ensure integrated care.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of clients’ progress and treatment interventions to ensure alignment with goals.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to contribute to ongoing best practices in ABA therapy and school nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience in pediatric or school nursing, with a preference for experience with children who have developmental disabilities.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive within an interdisciplinary team.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, committed to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
- Flexibility to adapt to the unique needs of each client and their family, exhibiting empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity.
