Overview

M.S. Walker, Inc. is looking to add a Customer Account Coordinator to their Credit Department. The primary responsibility includes processing credit applications for all new billing accounts and providing backup coverage for Accounts Receivable (AR) and Credit Clerk positions as needed. AR/Credit Clerk duties include payment processing across various fields and issuing credit memos for delivery/pricing discrepancies.

Responsibilities
  • Process credit applications for all new billing accounts
  • Process payments from various sources and apply to customer accounts. Payment sources include physical checks, electronic payments from fax/email and telephone, and bank/payment portal downloads.
  • Balance tape register against deposit register
  • Prepare and send scanned deposits to bank
  • Research and resolve discrepancies on accounts
  • Download daily unshipped item report. Reviews and generates credit memos accordingly
  • Reviews delivery documents for discrepancies and issues credit memos as required
  • Reviews, prices and issues credit memos for returned merchandise
  • Read, interpret and discuss pricing requests with Sales or Brand Managers to ensure credit memos are issued correctly and in a timely manner
  • Apply credit memos to corresponding invoice(s)
  • Uploads credit memos into our online document storage system, Docuware, upload and attach any backup to corresponding credit memo
  • Maintain communication with Sales Dept., colleagues and customers regarding customer accounts
  • Administrative duties to include but not limited to scanning, filing, billing, mailing
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree and/or 2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other computer software
  • Desire and ability to problem solve
  • Experience with data entry
  • Experience with reviewing forms/applications for accuracy
