Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Norwood, Massachusetts. As part of this contract position, you will play a vital role in managing incoming payments, maintaining financial records, and ensuring seamless interactions with customers regarding accounts receivable matters. Responsibilities:

- Process and record incoming payments, including cash, checks, wire transfers, and credit card transactions, with precision and timeliness.

- Prepare and distribute invoices and account statements to customers, ensuring accuracy in all communications.

- Conduct follow-ups on overdue accounts, addressing client inquiries and resolving payment discrepancies effectively.

- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to verify that all payments are properly recorded and accounted for.

- Generate detailed aging reports for accounts receivable and assist in month-end financial closing activities.

- Provide documentation and support for audits as needed, ensuring compliance with financial standards.

- Maintain organized and up-to-date customer records and files for efficient information retrieval.

- Collaborate with internal teams to address billing issues and enhance client satisfaction.

- Assist in implementing improvements to accounts receivable processes for better efficiency and accuracy. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable, including processing payments and managing collections.

- Strong knowledge of billing functions and financial processes.

- Proficiency in handling cash applications and resolving payment discrepancies.

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to maintain detailed financial records.

- Familiarity with generating accounts receivable reports and supporting month-end closings.

- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.

- Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.

- Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.
