We are seeking a Developer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The normal hours for this role are 37.5 hours covering Monday to Friday.

This role offers hybrid working at our office and working remotely from home.

We are situated within the Hethel Engineering Centre with free on-site parking.

This is an exciting and challenging role for an experienced Developer with a genuine opportunity to continue progressing both personally and professionally. In this role you will be responsible for developing high quality software products within an agile environment utilising the latest tools and techniques. You will provide support to the wider Development Team, encouraging growth and knowledge of product and software development methods, and contributing to the overall success of the business.

About the Role:

As a Developer you will have a good understanding of Product and Agile methodologies to support the delivery of the strategic product roadmap and to ensure the highest quality of products through the full SDLC. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of our product suites, to ensure you are able to service them effectively and provide training and support to customers and colleagues.

The teams’ development goals are defined each quarter in alignment with the company’s wider business objectives. We are currently focusing on scaling our core products and continuing the refactoring of the core code base from .Net Framework into later versions of .Net Core.

You will support project delivery, sharing in the overall responsibility for delivering to deadlines and providing regular updates. You may be asked to undertake additional duties to those above, either on a temporary or permanent basis, which the Company reasonably believes you are capable of carrying out or for which you will be provided training.

Essential Technical

Experience:
  • Backend: C#, .Net Framework 4.7+ , .NET 6+
  • Front-End:
    JavaScript, jQuery
  • Database:
    Microsoft SQL Server
  • Frameworks:
    Web API, MVC
  • Version Control:
    Microsoft Azure Dev Ops
Desirable Technical

Experience:
  • Front-End:
    Type Script, MVC Razor, Angular JS 1.x, Angular 8+
  • Unit Testing: nUnit, Moq
  • LINQ to SQL
  • Azure Dev Ops
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure SQL Database
  • Power Shell
Essential Role Criteria:
  • Computer Science Degree or an equivalent or related Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years software development (C#, .Net & SQL) experience
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum development processes
  • Good presentation skills with the ability to perform software product demonstrations
  • Clear written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in eliciting and interpreting requirements from written specifications and verbal communications
  • Highly organised with methodical approach
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Genuine passion for high-quality, user friendly software products
  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently
  • Exceptionally diligent and attentive to detail
  • Customer service skills in terms of supporting SLA’s
  • Creative and abstract thinking to solve technical issues quickly
