Role and responsibilitiesWe are recruiting a Senior Mental Health Adviser to supervise and support MAP’s advice services based at our Norwich Hub, which includes weekly drop-ins where young people can get support on a wide range of issues without the need for an appointment.
The role involves delivering person-centred mental health interventions and providing impartial and confidential mental health advice sessions for young people living in the Norwich area. Our NHS-approved service provision offers young people: triage of presenting needs, advice on managing mild-to-moderate mental health symptoms, referral to MAP’s counselling offer and/or referrals to other sources of support.

Line management and provision of initial safeguarding consultations are also key aspects of the role.
The successful applicant will be an innovative individual with the ability and drive to help shape MAP services. This role will support the implementation of MAP’s strategic plan regarding Mental Health Advice, including liaising with MAP’s Therapeutic Services Team to ensure young people experience joined-up support as they move between services. The role also involves coordination of recruitment and supervision of volunteers supporting the Advice Service.
Please note:
The role requires working until 6pm every day due to our hubs opening times.
