Taverham Veterinary Practice is a small-animal practice ideally located halfway between the vibrant city of Norwich and the beautiful North Norfolk coast. Our stunning location offers easy access to rivers and lakes for boating and nature, as well as the breathtaking Norfolk and Suffolk coastlines. Excellent transport links make travel to Cambridge, London, and other major UK cities such as Liverpool, Manchester, and Nottingham straightforward and convenient.
We have a large and supportive team, including 33 vets, 37 RVNs, 4 SVNs, 9 ANAs, and 43 additional support staff. Within our team, we have certificate holders in Internal Medicine, Surgery (Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic), Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Dentistry, and Emergency & Critical Care. We are proud supporters of Street Vet and other local charities, and we maintain a vibrant social calendar, including summer and Christmas parties, to foster a fun and inclusive team culture.
We are an RCVS-accredited hospital with several PSS awards and outstanding facilities. Our equipment includes a comprehensive in-house laboratory, ultrasound, digital and dental X-ray, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and a brand-new CT scanner, allowing us to provide the highest standard of care for our patients.

Average of 40 hours per week, with variable shift times including weekends and twilight hours in the hospital. There is no on-call requirement. You will have dedicated shadowing and training days with our certificate holders, as well as the opportunity to participate in our charity surgery day every eight weeks.
You will be supported by a dedicated and trained GDP Advisor, with monthly reviews and meetings, alongside a pastoral mentor to support your wellbeing and a second-year “buddy.” Our two-year tailored programme provides experience across all areas of the hospital, including consulting, inpatients, surgery, procedures, shadowing and training days, and twilight shifts, ensuring a comprehensive and supportive start to your veterinary career.
