Pay Rate£14.01 per hour
Shift PatternRolling pattern: 2 days (06:00‑18:00) followed by 2 nights (18:00‑06:00) and then 4 days off, repeating every four days.
Example schedule:
- Wednesday – 18:00
- Thursday – 06:00‑18:00
- Friday – 18:00‑06:00
- Saturday – 18:00‑06:00
- 4 days off
- Thursday – 06:00‑18:00
- Friday – 06:00‑18:00
- Saturday – 18:00‑06:00
- Sunday – 18:00‑06:00
- 4 days off
- Friday – start again
Initially a three‑month probation period, with potential for longer‑term roles.
Responsibilities- Operate production machines safely in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain quality and output.
- Start and stop machines safely and address minor breakdowns, escalating to setters or maintenance when needed.
- Pack, label, and palletise product as per SOPs.
- Conduct hourly quality checks, quarantine unsatisfactory components, and document results.
- Restart production to correct standards when quality issues arise.
- Run machinery, minimise downtime, and handle remedial line stoppages.
- Safely start and stop injection moulding machines and auxiliary assembly equipment.
- Perform barrel purges on injection moulding machines.
- Respond to emergency oil and water leaks, following proper stopping procedures and informing maintenance.
- Collect materials and refill hoppers as required.
- Empty waste bins, recycle, and weigh scrap.
- Maintain general housekeeping and keep the work area tidy.
- Complete log books with BOM details.
- Record production and new work orders on the new sheet.
- Log traceability information and machine issues.
- Communicate any line efficiency comments to the incoming shift.
- Record stoppages and new orders on BARCO.
- Provide stand‑in relief cover for other operators during tea and meal breaks.
- Carry out resort and box‑making activities when instructed.
- Perform any other duties within the scope of the role and department as directed by the Team Leader.
Previous manufacturing/production experience required; training provided.
