Background

This is a crucial role will involve reporting to the Operations Manager on all matters in relation to overseeing the entire manufacturing process, ensuring efficient, timely and high-quality production. You will need to have extensive experience of managing a manufacturing team within an architectural glazing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality compliance is maintained, and the company’s procedures and objectives are achieved by the factory team.
Ensuring that all aspects of the contract are manufactured on time & in line with the production manuals & the production planner.
Ensuring that multiple deadlines are met and to juggle multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to coordinate & communicate between site & teams and design & procurement departments.
Responsibility for maintaining all the machinery with a proactive approach
Responsibility for handling employee issues, questions and any disciplinary issues.
Monitoring and control of the factory hours.
Dealing with supply chain matters which affect the smooth running.

Key Skills & Knowledge

A flexible and disciplined approach to tight deadlines with a positive attitude and leadership skills would be appropriate for this role, along with the following skills and experience:

Extensive experience of managing a manufacturing team within an architectural glazing environment.
An extensive working knowledge of Schuco & Kawneer systems
Knowledge and worked Schucal & Kawnner Pro
Excellent people management skills with the ability to influence and mentor.
Excellent verbal and written communications.
Problem solving skills and analytical thinking
Extensive experience in the programming of CNC machines & excellent understanding of cutting sheets for the fabrication of Kawneer & Schuco systems.
