This role leads a high‑performing team responsible for delivering advanced performance‑testing and technology solutions across key business areas. You will own the strategic direction of performance testing, overseeing governance, frameworks and tooling to ensure systems are robust, scalable and resilient. The role includes guiding the development of platforms, processes and procedures that elevate system performance and user experience. You will drive the planning and execution of all major performance‑testing types, identifying bottlenecks and ensuring readiness for production release.

A strong focus on compliance, continuous improvement and cross‑team collaboration is essential. Ultimately, you will ensure technology services deliver reliable, high‑quality outcomes for customers and the business.

• Proven leadership of technical teams, with strong coaching, mentoring and capacity‑planning capabilities.
• Deep expertise in performance‑testing disciplines: load, stress, peak, soak, scalability and endurance testing identifying risks and bottlenecks early to avoid rework, delays and unnecessary spend.
• Strong understanding of performance‑engineering tooling, frameworks, analysis and optimisation techniques that deliver measurable business value and strong return on investment.
• Experience overseeing complex technology platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability and system performance.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, working closely with stakeholders across technology and the business, providing clear reporting, risk management and commercial insight to support informed decision‑making and high‑quality customer outcomes.

• Salary circa £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
