About the roleAn experienced lawyer is sought to join the Dispute Resolution section of nplaw’s Dispute Resolution & Governance Team. The role is to provide advice and representation to local authorities in all areas of enforcement and regulatory law.
Key responsibilitiesAs a Senior Lawyer, you will provide clear and comprehensive professional legal advice to all clients, negotiate with other professionals and provide representation in the lower courts and at regulatory committees. You will advise on all aspects of enforcement and regulatory law, deal with pre-litigation and litigation processes, and instruct counsel and experts when necessary. You will manage a portfolio of your own varied matters, covering enforcement areas such as fly-tipping through to complex health and safety matters, and regulatory matters involving taxis and premises licences.
You will be part of an experienced team and with the support of like-minded people you will have the opportunity to develop your specialism. You will also have line management responsibility, which we think is a rewarding role of offering support and guidance to colleagues in developing their skills.

You must be a qualified solicitor, barrister or FCILEX (with litigation and advocacy rights) and have at least 3 years Post-Qualification Experience.
