Technical Support Analyst (2nd/3rd Line - Infrastructure) – Norwich (On-site) – £19.78 - £23.82 per hour (Contract / Public Sector)

Excellent opportunity for a 2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer with strong Windows Server and infrastructure support experience to join a large public sector organisation in a critical, high-availability environment offering a technically varied role and day-to-day ownership.

This company are a major public sector organisation running a large IT estate that supports essential services. They are looking to strengthen their support function to ensure core systems remain stable, secure and performant.

In this role you will provide 2nd/3rd line technical support across servers, infrastructure and key platforms. You ll handle escalations, manage backup/restore activities, support patching and security controls, and work closely with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers. You will also take part in an on-call rota and shift coverage.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced 2nd/3rd Line Support Analyst/Engineer with a strong background supporting Windows Server environments. You ll have proven troubleshooting skills, be confident with backups/restores and security administration, and be comfortable working on-site in a shift/on-call environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a contract role in a highly impactful environment, working on critical systems with broad technical exposure.

• 2nd/3rd line technical support (server/infrastructure focused)
• Windows Server support, builds/configuration and fault-finding
• Backups/restores, patching, AV and access control administration
• On-call rota / shift coverage + supplier and stakeholder liaison

• Strong 2nd/3rd line support experience (infrastructure/server environment)
• Good Windows Server knowledge + backup/restore and security admin experience
• Comfortable working on-site in a shift/on-call environment
• Relevant IT qualification/certification (or equivalent experience)
