Exciting opportunity for newly qualified or experienced Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join a supportive adult community speech and language therapy team based at Norwich Community Hospital. Gain experience working with people with a diverse range conditions and develop your skills in independently managing a communication and dysphagia caseload. Intensive support will be provided to the successful candidate to meet their dysphagia competencies with regular access to supervision and continuing professional development opportunities.
Mainduties of the job
To provide Speech and Language Therapy assessment, differential diagnosis and treatment for adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders in a range of community setting including clinics, care homes and in patient's own homes.

Person Specification Qualifications- RCSLT recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC Registration
- RCSLT Registration
- Undergraduate clinical experience in adult acquired communication and swallowing disorders
- Clinical experience as a Speech & Language Therapist
- Caseload management
Skills and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of assessment and therapeutic interventions for acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
- Good communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work within MDT
- Awareness of principles of clinical governance and audit
- Able to organise workload and manage time
- Able to identify with the Trust's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults
- Able to empathise with patients who may have life changing, progressive and/or terminal medical conditions
- Willing to learn
- flexible and able to adapt quickly to demands of service
