Could you help us provide great patient friendly service? Are you looking for an exciting challenge working as part of a busy team? If so, General Medical Outpatients are looking for a receptionist to join their friendly team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our reception team in General Medical Outpatients. General Medical Outpatients is a very busy area which has clinics covering 5 specialities across 3 Care Groups, including Endocrinology, Renal and Gastroenterology.
Our receptionists prep for the 12 clinics per day, greet patients and their relatives and outcome the clinics on PAS as well as providing admin support for the nursing staff and the clinicians. If so, we would love to hear from you!
Part time: 31.5hrs per week

Responsibilities- Provide a high-quality reception and support service within the Outpatients Department and communicate effectively with patients, relatives, the general public and a wide range of multi-professional staff.
- Input patient information onto the Patient Administration System (PAS) in real time and ensure accurate data entry in line with Trust policies.
- Offer admin support for nursing staff and clinicians and support the technical staff with a versatile, multitask approach.
- Enthusiastic, motivated individual with the ability to communicate well with patients, their relatives and staff at multiple levels.
- Ability to cope with a large number of different tasks simultaneously (versatile approach).
- Experience or ability to perform real-time data entry onto the PAS and follow Trust Policies and Procedures on data collection and confidentiality.
