Base pay range

The Multi Storey Car Park Service Advisor is responsible for ensuring the security, safety, and efficient operation of the council’s multi‑storey car parks. Reporting to the Civil Enforcement Team Leader, the role involves monitoring facilities, conducting regular patrols, operating equipment, and providing a high standard of customer service to internal and external users. Key duties include responding to enquiries, assisting with ticketing issues, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting emergency procedures such as fire evacuation and first aid.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain the security and smooth operation of multi-storey car parks.
  • Provide excellent customer service, assisting with enquiries, ticket issues, and refunds.
  • Conduct regular patrols and CCTV checks to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Support emergency procedures, including fire evacuation and first aid.
  • Maintain cleanliness and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Operate ticketing systems and ensure accurate financial control.
Skills Required
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle enquiries and resolve issues calmly and professionally.
  • Practical, organised and flexible approach to duties.
  • Problem‑solving skills within defined guidelines.
  • Basic IT skills (e.g., Outlook, Word).
  • Good level of numeracy and literacy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of health and safety and GDPR requirements.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ramps in multi‑storey car parks.
Educational Requirements
  • Good level of numeracy and literacy (essential).
  • First aid training (desirable).
