Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Planner to join our team in Norfolk, United Kingdom. As a Project Planner, you will play a crucial role within the team in ensuring the successful execution of our engineering projects in the energy sector by developing, implementing, and monitoring project schedules / plans.
- Utilise planning software (preferably Primavera P6) to track and monitor project progress, as well as support delivery forecasting/look-aheads.
- Utilise planning software (preferably Primavera P6) to develop and support change / impact programmes with the wider delivery teams.
- Develop comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Analyse the project requirements and create detailed work breakdown structures.
- Identify potential programme risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify all project requirements and agree timescales.
- Conduct resource forecasting and optimisation to improve project efficiency.
- Assist in the development of project budgets and cost estimates, through programme utilisation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for planning processes.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering industry or related field
- Strong Knowledge of NEC form of contract essential
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6)
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to develop and manage complex project schedules
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience in construction or infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of construction methodologies and techniques
- Understanding of project scheduling and resource allocation principles
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
- Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
